Hyundai Exter Knight edition: what’s new?

The Exter Knight edition is based on SX & SX(O) Connect variants, and comes with exterior changes such as black painted side sill garnish, red accents on front bumper and tailgate, red brake calipers, black front and rear skid plates, black alloy wheels on SX(O) Connect, black Hyundai and Exter badges and a Knight emblem.

On the inside, it gets an all-black theme with contrasting red accents and stitching, red footwell lighting, black satin interior door handles and steering, metal scuff plate, red stitching on the floor mates and new Knight seat upholstery with red stitching and piping.

The Hyundai Exter Knight edition brings in two new colour options – Abyss Black and Shadow Grey. Other colours on offer include Starry Night, Atlas White, Ranger Khaki. Shadow Grey and Ranger Khaki are also offered with a dual-tone option with a black roof.

Hyundai Exter Knight: powertrain

The Exter Knight edition retains the 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder NA petrol engine as the standard SUV. This engine produces 83hp and 114Nm torque. The special edition can be had with both the 5-speed manual or the 5-speed AMT gearbox options.

The Hyundai Exter rivals the likes of Tata Punch and Citroen C3, while also faces some competition from Maruti Fronx, Toyota Taisor, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger. Hyundai is also in the works of introducing an all-new crossover based on the Bayon sold overseas, which will sit above the Exter in its portfolio and directly rival Fronx and Taisor.
